Olympic Press Centre

„Sport Moves“ was the initial idea for architecture in motion. In support of the City of Leipzig’s bid to host the Olympic Games 2012 the building was to accommodate the press- an exhibition centre for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and at the same time offer information on the Olympic Games. The challenge was to create an architecture that physically moves instead of being static. This building itself was to express sport as an event and an attraction beyond all conventions of traditional exhibition halls.
